derstands what you are going through AND knows how to get you through it in Christ. “
Note: If your concern does NOT involve another human being but is concerning another
life situation such as financial strife, job concerns, etc, Go to our 2 Minute Fear
Fighter to claim the Lord’s power, mercy and grace over Fear -
I am a child of God and have been forgiven a debt that I could never pay -
I renounce the enemy and his desire for me to focus my thoughts on myself -
I renounce the temptation to be self-
through my rejection of/anger at of him/her.
I choose instead to forgive: ___(who)__________ _____________for ____(action)_______________
causing me to feel____________(feelings)______________
I am willing to pay the emotional pain and consequences that _______(who) _____ has caused me and I ask you Lord Jesus to take back and ground I gave the enemy through my bitterness / unforgiveness,/harsh feelings and I yield that ground back to your control.
Thank you for your grace in forgiving me and restoring my heart onto yours. Put YOUR love, joy, and peace into my heart. In Jesus Name I ask these things, Amen.
Dealing with deep hurts can be scary. A a lot of us ignore actually FACING our fears because the pain can be so great that we may be afraid we would crumble and die if we did. That fear can be paralyzing. You have to decide if going through a small amount of pain now is worth it in order to get rid of the festering, larger amount deep inside that is wreaking havoc in your life and will definitely continue to plague your existance.
Men, especially, have a fear of expressing their emotions like pouring o out their tears at a funeral, fearing they will not appear manly to others, but Jesus wept.
If you are being convicted about some issues, trust that it is the Lord who is prompting you to deal with them, and HE WILL CARRY YOU! If you need to be with friends who can support you through this time, than call them and set aside a time to walk through this. If you would rather be alone with the Lord, that’s ok also, as long as you hold nothing back and are totally honest with him.
Before Starting:
• Be clear about the offense so you can name the situation
• Be clear about WHO offended / hurt you.
• Be clear about what you’re feeling
(see Pain Words)
• When finished with the “Power Tool” below, make sure that your heart is in restoration so if you were short, unkind, irritated, etc, towards someone else, humble yourself and go to them seeking reconciliation.
• DO THIS UNTIL YOU FEEL BETTER! Deep hurts may take time. Jesus can come instantly
and sometimes, we keep picking up our “junk.” At the first sign that there is still
angst, bitterness, or any thoughts that would indicate that you’re feeling sorry
for yourself, do this cleanse. Even if you have to do it hourly, do it until you
have VICTORY.
If we don’t just do it, we will go down a spiral of bitterness, anger, unforgiveness, and far worse.
When you give up your pain, you will even FEEL differently because you are relying on HIS power and not your own. Remember that your just giving up your right to be offended, and then trusting that the Lord will do all that needs to be done on all sides of the situation.
If you've been moving through our 4 Healing Rooms, you will have learned that just the act of focusing on self is hidden pride and causes us to go down a spiral of bitterness, fear and much worse if we entertain the thoughts of “self”.
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with
all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just
as God also in Christ forgave you. (Ephesians 4:31-
Please Know that Jesus cares a lot for your pain and heartache and that He can heal it all if you are willing to yield up your pain to Him.
Giving our pain up is hard at times and most of the time we are not going to FEEL like giving it up. It just feels too good to feel justified, to feel sure that we
Are right or that we’ve been wronged, but we have to just do it, and He will take it.
