enly Father,
I commit my life to You and ask for more of you! Lord Jesus, Forgive my sins and cleanse me with Your precious blood and make me Your son/daughter.
I am amazed as I think of how the universe and everything in it came into existence by You, speaking a word and sustaining them by the power of Your Word. Lord, You are alive today and as You do not show favoritism to anybody, speak a Word and still the problems in my life like You stilled the raging sea and the boisterous wind two thousand years ago.
Fill me with Your grace and help me to gain victory over sin as You did when You were in this world. Bring me further and deeper into a new revelation of Your Word and all it has for me for it is life to my soul. As I got to it daily, continue your revelation and truths into all parts of my life. Let it be the door to your glory and power and give me a deeper desire to engulf myself in your truths. Thank you Father God I ask these things in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ, and I give You all glory, honor and praise, Amen

Your No. 1 "Tool" for Healing
Some people, when asked if they read their bible, give a sheepish grin or a look of guilt and give some excuse as to how they KNOW they should read it more often than they do, but don't find the time, treating it as if it's some torturous discipline that they know they SHOULD do if they want to call themselves “Christians” but really don’t want to do.
Some people treat God's Word as a “Self Help Book”, going to His word only when they have a problem and paging through it for an answer to what they are going through at the moment. While they may find the answer they are looking for, they are seriously cheating themselves out of the power that is available to them through His Word.
And some people blatantly share that they get little from it.
“But I can't memorize scripture like others can!”
I used to feel like this as I sat around with other home school moms and they would share how they have the kids memorizing scripture...or when someone would say some Verse numbers to you in a discussion as if you could just PULL THEM OUT OF A HAT! “well, it's a very well known scripture” they would respond when I gave a clueless look to their prompting of some supposedly mutual knowledge.
For YEARS I would feel so guilty and thinking I must be a “Bad Christian” if I couldn't even remember some verse number and what it said. That carried a little bit of guilt and shame to it and I tried to hide that fact from people when the conversations came up.
God's Word is His “LIBRARY”
And then one morning, it was a THANKSGIVING morning to be exact, I was riding

His word is FULL of PROMISES! These are things we can STAND ON, CLAIM and DECLARE! God's word is sometimes read so lightly that we treat it as if it comes from any other book; a bunch of suggestions. I even sometimes remind the Lord of His word, saying “LORD, YOUR WORD SAYS....” and it's certainly not to really REMIND the Lord what His word says but more of DECLARING WHERE I WILL STAND, and thus, “coming into agreement” with Him over His word, and claiming them for my life/circumstances.
Keep God's Word to LIVE
“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeding out of the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.” (John 8:51)
More than a “Self Help Book”
The fact is, is that God's word is full of life changing POWER: a supernaturally powerful book much like one of those you see in Fantasy movies where uttering the words brings some magic to life!
that your faith wouldn't stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:5)
SPEAK IT! It will release POWER!
“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me
void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing
whereto I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:10-
HE WILL SEE HIS WILL DONE! We say “YES LORD! AMEN!” If he SAID it, HE MEANS it and WILL SEE IT THROUGH! “Heaven Backed”, when you speak the Word of God, you are TAPPING INTO LIMITLESS POWER! You MUST understand this if you are going to walk in the miraculous. It's such a paradigm shift in thinking of the Word of God as “just a book written by some men”.
God spoke Light into the sky saying “LIGHT BE!” (Genesis 1:3) He commanded it and didn’t just say “Oh gee, it looks kinda dark in there”, just THINKING it but he SPOKE IT TO BE. If it was good enough to put light into the sky, it's good enough to bring power into your life!
His Word will accomplish
what it was purposed for!
We have to stand on the word of God and not by our own unbelief, because it WILL be hard at times to believe him! An angel came to Zechariah, and old man well along in years, and was told in Luke 1:13 that his wife was going to bear a son and he reacted the same as Mary:
"How can I be sure of this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years." (Luke 1:18)
His doubt...his UNBELIEF ...caused Zechariah to loose his voice until this event happened because “you didn't believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their proper time."
Mary said, "Behold, the handmaid of the Lord; be it to me according to your word." The angel departed from her. (Luke 1:38)
Mary came into agreement with the word of God and immediately and she conceived. The angel came to tell her what was going to happen but it had not happened yet and I'm sure if Mary was adamantly against it, it would not have happened...it happened when she “came into agreement over God's word”.
“You would not BELIEVE it
even if I showed it to you!”
A couple years ago, when struggling with some issues that did not make sense to me, nor could I see how to sift my way through, the Lord spoke to me about being thankful. He said that I would not move into the next season until I was thankful for THIS one” “HOW LORD”, I asked, “Can I be thankful in bad times”?
The Lord immediately said “Because you will rely on ME and depend on ME and the plans I have for you”, He continued: “UnBELIEVABLE circumstances rely on unBELIEVABLE FAITH! You would not BELIEVE the plans I have for you even if I showed them to you. It requires unbelievable Faith that I am calling you to. Keep seeking me at ALL COSTS! Nothing will make sense.” (HIS emphasis).
Many examples are in the scriptures where people “came into agreement” with the Word of God and claimed those words for their life. One thing I see that happens so often is that people speak negative words over themselves, and then are surprised when the negative occurs. That is the power of our words. But again, if we speak the Word of God only on a day to day basis; we are opening the door for the supernatural in our lives.
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," says Yahweh. (Isaiah 55:8)
So why do we really try to figure out anything when His ways are not our own?! Ask the Lord to give you a new and deeper revelation of how powerful His word is!
Revelation comes from the Lord
“John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.” (John 3:27)
Some people may accuse me for putting more into this than John was talking about, as John said this in a response to him baptizing people. The revelation that I RECEIVED on this (and you can certainly ask the Lord yourself about it) is that all revelation about God comes directly from HIM and that we don't really come to points or truths on our own. SO WOULD IT NOT make sense that you are going to learn more about him just by listening to MAN instead of going to the SOURCE OF ALL TRUTH?!
Every Scripture is God-
The Lord revealed to me that reading His word is an act of obedience, and once I embraced that, I started reading to “obey”...and soon, the Lord started speaking to me at different times of the day and more often. That alone is a pretty good reason to make the time to get into the Word.
God's word is a two-edged sword -
Able to pierce the hardest of hearts!
“For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-
When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them. (Acts 5:33)
And it is the “sword of the Spirit”, God's WORD that penetrates.
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the spoken word of God” (Ephesians 6:17)
God's word gives light and understanding
“The entrance of your words gives light. It gives understanding to the simple.” (Psalm 119:130)
“Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path.” (Psalm 119:105)
All Scripture is God-
God's word is like a purifying FIRE,
ready to break bondage & lies.
“Isn't my word like fire? says Yahweh; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” (Jeremiah 23:29)
Fire has the power to burn right through metal! Fire is powerful and if hot enough, can penetrate anything! That is GOD'S WORD! Drugs ...Alcohol ...other Addictions...do you really think He is not able to break these bonds? That it is BEYOND HIM?! CLAIM FREEDOM in Christ Jesus and speak over those areas in your life.
God's word purifies and sanctifies us
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That
he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or
any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. (Ephesians 5:26-
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. (John 15:3)
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then
are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make
you free. (John 8:31-
God's word keeps us from Sin
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. (Psalm 119:11)
God's word produces a spotless church
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: (1 Peter 1:22)
God's word can open
new dimensions of the Holy Spirit
“While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all those who
heard the word. They of the circumcision who believed were amazed, as many as came
with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was also poured out on the Gentiles.
For they heard them speaking in other languages and magnifying God. Then Peter answered”

If you obey it, it will save you
If you disobey it, it will destroy you
“And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed
from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that
know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be
punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the
glory of his power” (2 Thessalonians 1:7-
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:16)
We will be judged by God's word
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. (John 12:48)
The Word can save us or cause us to be lost, depending on our response to it.
HOW ARE YOU RESPONDING TO GOD'S WORD? Then CLAIM IT! PREACH IT! “But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;" that is, the word of faith, which we preach”(Romans 10:8)
“But I STILL don't always understand...”
WE DON”T HAVE TO, at least not in our OWN wisdom. I've heard many people say they get nothing out of reading the scriptures. My heart just sinks when I hear that. It is not US who discerns with wisdom but it's the LORD who reveals. We come to no revelations on our own. This cannot be made clear enough and is SO PIVOTAL in our walk with the Lord. We will hear His voice the more we draw in and HE reveals what HE wants! All we have to do is be obedient and take in His word.
As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don't need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him. (1 John 2:27)
But as it is written, "Things which an eye didn't see, and an ear didn't hear, which
didn't enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him."
But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things,
yes, the deep things of God. (1 Corinthians 2:9-
