But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31 NKJ)

“Fathe
r, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you.
I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you.
Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again.
I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.”

Well, the funny part of the whole story, is when they lowered their friend down into that room where Jesus was. I mean, the guy is paralyzed, and obviously, anyone can see that he is in need of healing. Are you with me so far? Well, when Jesus sees the paralytic, the first thing He SAYS is not “you are healed”...but “Child, your sins are forgiven”. He then asks the scribes when they grumbled, which is easier to say; to pick up your matt or that your sins are forgiven.
I have heard some Christians say that they have a hard time receiving forgiveness, that they don't believe God WOULD do the healing for them, nor would He forgive their sins. I think that they are at a certain point, one in the same.
I do not believe that you can receive the cross, receive the blood, and not receive forgiveness...and that if you DENY THAT FORGIVENESS, you deny the cross. I think that if you do not receive forgiveness, you cannot receive the POWER OF THE CROSS, the cross at which Jesus says that by His stripes (blood) we are healed. You HAVE TO RECEIVE what Jesus did on that cross if you want the power that comes with identifying with Christ in the blood offering. (If you do not know the Lord Jesus personally, click here.)
the Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you. (Jeremiah 31:3)
...to pardon, to cancel a debt. When we wrong someone, we seek their forgiveness in order for the relationship to be restored. Forgiveness is not granted because a person deserves to be forgiven. No one deserves to be forgiven. Forgiveness is an act of love, mercy, and grace. Forgiveness is a decision to not hold something against another person, despite what they have done to you.
Allow yourself to trust the Lord Jesus. When you allow yourself to trust the Lord,
you open the door to receive the blessings that He longs to pour out on you. The
Lord Jesus Knows you, from the start of the universe He has known you. HE loves
you thoroughly, knows you completely, understands you perfectly, and accepts you
just as you are. You receive the healing you so long for and desire and here at
the cross you are made whole.

Many people are lost in some type of addiction, something that they've been unable to stop, which they know is damaging to their life and possibly, those they love as well. The enemy would have them believe that they are unworthy, and thus, guilt and shame floods in and pins them to the ground, unable to move forward, it seems.
One of my favorite stores about healing told in the Gospels is abo
ut the paralytic,
whose friends could not get him anywhere near the home in which Jesus was preaching
the word to those who gathered. (Mark 2:1-
I'm thinking about now, that if they just wanted to hear Jesus speak, a hole big enough for a stretcher to pass through would not be necessary. See, they KNEW that Jesus would heal their friend if they could just get him inside that room, and they actually did damage to someone else's property by tearing apart the roof to get him in that room. Can you picture this scene?
