The Enemy's Beatitudes (author unknown)
If the Devil had written the Beatitudes, they might read like this:
The word “Satan” literally means “accuser” and he accuses us DAY AND NIGHT BEFORE GOD! OH YEAH! He watches everything you do, waiting for you to slip up and he knows exactly where to attack you because of that. The enemy can be blatant, or he can be as subtle as the temptation to sin, or manifest itself in a person who advices you to reject Christ or the teachings of the church and it's authority.
Satan is a deceiver, a liar, a destroyer, and he wants your destruction and will do all he can do to drive you to despair. Satan never eats, never sleeps, and never gives up or will admit defeat – yet his battle is already lost and he is defeated at the cross.
The enemy will hook his little finger into any area of your life that is not aligned totally with God and His will for our lives. Some times we are not even aware of it because when we think we've got one area of our lives handle, another seems to be under attack. It's like hidden pride: just when I find one area that I would fall into it, and repent and take back ground, another area would sneak up that I never thought of.
Bottom line is that you should look for: WHATEVER FORCE LEADS YOU AWAY FROM CHRIST!
Not all sin is provoked by the enemy as we are a fallen race and quite able to mess things up on our own as our flesh is weak. Because we are human and of flesh, we are tempted by our fleshly desires also and you just have to be aware of your motives on everything you do. We should do all things as onto God. The more we pursue Him and His will, the more we will hear our master's voice.
“Lord J
esus Christ, I place myself at the foot of Your Cross and ask You to cover
me with Your Precious Blood. Cleanse me Lord Jesus, in the Living Waters that flows
from your Heart and surround me with your Holy Light.”
“By the Power of your Holy Spirit, reveal to me Father, any people I need to forgive and any areas of unconfused sin. Reveal aspects of my life that are not pleasing to you or areas that have given Satan a foothold in my life.”
“Cleanse me from all ground that I gave Satan through my sin and I yield all that ground back to you. I smash the strongholds of Satan that formed against my emotions and my body and I give my will to you, Lord Jesus Christ”
“I pray the Blood of Jesus Christ over ______________________________
(“my family...My health...name it from your list, everything you want blessed and to see God’s power in. Repeat this sentence and cover each and everything on your list.)
“I pray that You, blessed Holy Spirit, would bring all the work of the cross, all the work of the resurrection, all the work of Pentecost into my life today. I surrender myself to you in all ways and I ask that you enable me to be aggressive in prayer and faith. Give me a burning hunger to pursue you with my whole heart, mind, body and soul.”
“Thank you Lord Jesus, for your Forgiveness and your Love! I AM YOURS!”
“Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.” (Luke 9:1)
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19)
You've been given many prayers to claim by now in this website so we're going
to do something a little different this time. If you want to pray the blood over
some things, you are going to have to be more specific than other typ
es of prayers,
praying the blood over EACH THING. Use the “Power Tools” at left to help you do
that.
Make a list of everything that you want power released into. An index card or prayer journal works great here. The Lord LOVES to show Himself to us and answered prayer is one way He delights in so get your pen & paper out before you proceed.

“For our wrestling is
not against flesh and blood,
but against the principalities,
against the powers,
against the world's rulers of the
darkness of this age,
and against the spiritual forces
of wickedness
in the heavenly places.”
(Ephesians 6:12)
I can go from 0-
I'm not perfect, (thank you Lord, for your grace & mercy!), but as I've drawn closer to the Lord and pursue abiding in Him, I'm able to “turn” faster, to get on my knees faster, and try to just BREATH when things happen. The goal here is to “recognize the the advancement of the enemy”. It's crucial to recognize the “signs”... and then use the “tools” given us, to keep from “wigging out” so bad that you're “laid out” and totally useless for anything or anyone!
“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and railing, be put away from you, with all malice:” (Ephesians 4:31)
I think we can guess what the first “signs” of distress are, and if you're human like me, it shows up on your doorstep on a daily basis. If left unchecked, these symptoms can take over, going from frustration to bitterness to clamor...and on and on. It's certainly not the peace of the Lord, right? HUGE CLUE! At the fist signs of stress we need to take a moment to breath and ask the Lord for His help, power, wisdom, etc...and renounce that “self focus”. (The Magic Key)
“For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)
As Ephesians 6:12 says above, our wrestling is not against flesh and blood but against the Dark spiritual principalities of wickedness – Satan. This means that your boss who is not recognizing your hard efforts, or your friend who has not been very sensitive to you lately, or your spouse who forgot your birthday AGAIN, etc, these are NOT THE ENEMIES! It's not that we consider them our literal enemy but even our focus on them as being responsible for our negative feelings, is so off base and another “lie of the enemy”.
“For that which I do I know not: for not what I would, that do I practice; but what I hate, that I do.” (Romans 7:15)
Ok, we know that we are already weak and that our strength will fail us continually. Without getting into a huge bible study on what Satan can and cannot do or His authority over the hearth, let's just say that Jesus is our ONLY protection, our ONLY strength, our ONLY source for anything like wisdom, courage, joy, peace, etc. We have to get our focus off of the enemy's attacks and focus on where truth is found and where the Lord is.
“that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth” (Philippians 2:10)
EVERYTHING must bow at the name of Jesus. If you don't feel the Lord's strength move in you, just keep saying His name! If you cannot get in prayer before the Lord, get on your knees or take a moment's break, then just asking the Lord under your breath to give you HIS truth in whatever situation you are in. If it starts to plague you, then more surrender and time with the Lord is needed.
He is your strength and guide, the ONLY safe place there is, your shelter in the storm and the solid rock you can stand on. KNOW WHERE YOU ARE STANDING!
Point being: Recognize the signs and “turn” fast!
Again, without making this really complicated, let me just share some simple areas that the enemy can infiltrate, so that we can “CLOSE THE DOORS”, not let him into areas of our life and kick him out of other areas that we HAVE let him in. In the gray box at right is a play on scripture to the “Beatitudes”, but with a twist; the ENEMY'S Beatitudes. They are simple and easy to see where the enemy can plan a sneak attack.
Basically, the more we know of God's word, the more we know when we are outside
His will. The Holy Spirit will convict you also as you heed and listen to His prompting.
I remember when I was in elementary school, I went
to the priest at the time and
asked him to “show me all of the sins because I don't want to be guilty of them”.
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” (Galatians 6:7)
Now I truly understand and appreciate God's grace for me as I learn daily how easy it is to sin, and I am always ready to say “bring it on, LORD! Convict me of WHATEVER is in the way!” because there is always consequences to sin and I want to avoid pain at all costs! “SHOW me so I can bring it to the throne!” The cost of NOT doing so could cost greatly.
“And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.” (Matthew 5:29)
My situations are not unique, I am not a victim ...and the Lord always provides a way to escape...and He can give me the STRENGTH and courage to do so.
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13)
“She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” (John 8:11)
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)
ENOUGH! Turn and take a firm stand against any area of Sin in your life. Whatever you turn over to the Lord, HE WILL GIVE YOU THE STRENGTH TO KEEP THAT GROUND! Remember, it's HIS battle, not ours, we just have to submit it to Him...and turn when tempted to pick it up.
If you submit to God, you shall have the power of God IN YOU! God wants you to learn to face temptation and resist it. He wants you to learn how to draw your battle power not from yourself but in and through HIM. His Word has POWER so claim it also, out loud if you have to for the enemy knows the truth...he just doesn't think YOU DO!
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word
of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching
thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that
utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the
mystery of the gospel,” (Ephesians 6:12-

I had shared earlier that my daughter was sick on numerous occasions with all the diseases that she struggles with and this was one of those times where I was in a constant state of panic and stress as doctor after doctor after specialist didn't know what to do with her.
I had been almost making myself crazy trying to find some truth and separate the garbage from it, while the rest of the world told me to trust in the very people who admitted they didn't know what to do. I was in prayer much but she STILL needed attention and a way to survive and I was getting nowhere.
It was in the middle of all of this that the Lord gave me a vision of a football field with players in the middle of play. Now, I'm one of those people who could not be any LESS interested in football and I barely even knew how to play the game but I totally understood when the Lord said to me that I had been “playing defense when I should be playing offense”.
Now, while this vision is a funny one, because I would not have known the meanings of those two words apart from the revelation of the Lord (He is SO funny at times!),I knew that He was trying to show me that I was too busy looking at the enemy in front of me, trying to block plays as my head scrambled with so many “what if's”, when I should be looking at the GOAL!
Again, I know little about football but I knew then that offensive players may have plays, “plans” on how to get around the enemy and make the goal, right? Well I knew that I had been given the strategies in and through Christ to get around the enemy and so if I only looked UP, I could make steady progress towards that goal, knowing that I could fly right over my attackers if need by. My goal was to stay focused on the Lord and not to constantly figure out the plays of the enemy and block them.
So it was at the throne that I received my peace. It was there on my knees that I received comfort and then wisdom as the Lord opened other ideas and paths for me. It was there that HE GAVE ME SURETY that He was involved in our situations to the depths of our beings and that He had not left nor forsaken me! So stand on His word. Be quick to give up what does not belong to you (like the enemy's path!) and “turn” to the Lord. Pursue Him with a vengeance and ask Him to reveal Himself more to you than you've ever experienced. Don't be chasing the enemy but barrel straight ahead to wherever the Lord is, watching ever so closely for the smallest turn of His head, listening for His very heartbeat, for you and for those you love.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.(Isaiah 53:5)
I believe that learning how to Plead the Blood of Jesus will give you one
of the most powerful, if not THE most powerful form of offensive prayer that you
can use for any kind of deliverance or protection that you may need. The blood was
not just meant to get us into Heaven but is God's protection on you before the enemy
strikes. It's for battling demons and
for battling any kind of adversity that you
may have already come in contact with.
The blood of Jesus is something that I call on ALL areas of my life as his blood has POWER, so I would encourage you to claim that, to call it in ALL areas of your life also, call it on physical, emotional or mental hearings too...and see “miracles, signs and wonders” happen.
Some Christians have challenged this type of prayer asking for scripture reference to calling the blood on circumstances or what have you. There was no evidence that the early apostles ever plead the blood to heal, to cast out demons, or to get God’s basic protection on them. While there IS no such scripture, the very NATURE of the blood sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross holds all the forgiveness, deliverance and protection we would ever need! He DID IT ALL on the cross!
