A Handy “power tool” to pull out at a moment’s notice when there is a “hint of its need.
But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31 NKJ)

“Father
God, I thank you that your love for and I know that I cannot even imagine
just how much you do love me. Help me to know just how deep that love is and give
me the strength and courage to surrender all my actions and decisions to your control.
Thank you, Lord Jesus, that your hand has never been ever lifted from my life. Thank
you Lord for grace in spite of my actions and that your mercy and grace have kept
me protected, as I know that far worse could have happened in me in my life. I surrender
all of my directions and activities, my heart and plans, I surrender my time and
my agenda to you and your control right now.
Come Holy Spirit and do for me what I cannot do for myself, Thank you, Father God, in Jesus name I ask these things, and I will give you all the glory and honor due you, Amen.”
Since His ways are not our ways, why would we even THINK we can see what the Lord is doing? Or how about why?
(Listen to “I Surrender”, by Kim walker -
God's Love is beyond our comprehension.
God does not want us to submit to Him because He’s a control freak, but because He loves us and wants to keep us safe. He does not want to keep things from us but He wants to keep us from Harm.
His love for us is beyond our comprehension. God IS Love, a love like we truly, as human’s, just have never quite experienced, and everything he does...and everything He asks of us to do, is informed by and filled with Love. He wants us to obey not out of religious duty but out of our LOVE. Our degree of love for Him is a direct reflection of our knowledge of the degree upon which He loves US!. It’s ALL about LOVE!.
So if His ways are not our own...
"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9)
if he has other resources beyond our abilities...
He counts the number of the stars. He calls them all by their names. Great is our
Lord, and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite. (Psalm 147:4-
if his love is unimaginable and values us greatly...
but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don't be afraid. You
are of more value than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:30-
and knows what we need before we ask it...
Therefore don't be like them, for your Father knows what things you need, before you ask him. (Matthew 6:8)
is faithful to get whatever is needed to done...
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)
why would we ever think of doing
anything on our own?
He can restore all things in an instant, so stop trying to figure it all out. Decide to surrender everything now. Claim the “power tool” in the box below and ask the Lord in what other ways that you can surrender your life, time, habits, comings & goings.
We cannot see the road ahead. We have not walked it and most times, we don't want to take the advice of someone more experienced than ourselves. So is it rebellion...or is it that we think we know what we are doing or that God may be holding out on us? Either way, it's still sin, is it not? What do we do with sin? Renounce it.
His ways are not our own
"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9)
Since the Lord’s word didn’t specifically speak against this ‘habit’ of mine
but I knew in my mind that it was “OK” but I also knew it put a wedge in-
Is God “holding out on me”?
We don’t always see the purpose of giving up some of the things we’re asked to give up. Are we filled with so much pride that we think we have wisdom on the true consequences of our actions? What if, just as a toddler does not know that putting his hand on a hot stove will burn him, we really DO NOT know all things and thus, cannot see the consequences of every action we pursue?
Surrender & The “Eve Comple
x”
“Surrender” is one of the hardest things that I find hard in my walk with the Lord. OH, I know he LOVES me and wants what’s best for me, so then why do I struggle with totally letting go, with trusting Him at times and even with thinking that the Lord is “THAT concerned” about my issue?
The “Eve Complex”.
I had a bad habit. Oh, I’m not going to go into it now (yes, I know that James 5:16 says we're to “confess our sins to one another so that we may be healed” and so I did that already with another on this issue), so let’s just say that like most of us, I too had something I was not willing to give up...just quite yet. I waffled back and forth, feeling convicted and then repenting and then feeling as if that one little thing was ‘not so bad’ and then justifying it in my head because I knew God had grace for my weakness.
